Apr 1 Kate came home from Chilton, been 3 months

Apr 8 Attended 2 meetings in Salop

Apr 26 Emma came home from Birmingham having seen Jeff married & done for. She had helped well as his housekeeper

June 7 Tom went to situation at Mr Blowers, Ironmonger Pride Hill Salop

June 15 Margaret went to Droitwich & Mrs Davies with her

June 16 Began hay harvest. Finished July 21st

June 20 Went with Harry Davies to the Royal Show at Chester. Saw his brothers & brother-in-law. Home on the 22nd

June 28 Emma & I went to Knighton Show

July 20 Maggie went to Tamworth

July 25 Began grain harvest. Finished August 26th

Aug 30 Went to the Mumbles

Sep 2 Went to Rhosilly 18 miles from Swansea

Sep 3 Sunday walked to the Wormes Head in morning on Rhossilly Mountain in evening

Sep 4 Started at 5 am to meet omnibus rode 8 more before reaching the Gower Hotel had no break just until I reached there, then walked 7 miles along the coast to the Mumbles. went on to Swansea Pier at night. (a good days work)

Sep 18 Margaret very ill. Doctor here twicein the day
