June 15 Began hay harvest

June 27 Finished hay harvest. Very hot weather

July 20 Began grain harvest

Aug 3 Finished grain harvest, not a spot of rain

Sep 4 R Griffins (Gate Keeper) at Aston drowned in the river Clun at bottom of my Greaves field

Sep 10 Mudding out the Hall Pool 10 days at it 250 loads of mud

Oct 16 Sold barley at 7/- per bushel

Nov 4 Our 5th child born. Named Thomas

Nov 7 Had a favourite cart mare shot 25 years old

May 21 Had a playhouse in the garden for the children

June 10 Sold wheat at 6/10 per B. on 15th began hay

June 26 Wool sold at 1/3 per lb

July 2 Finished hay harvest

July 28 Began grain harvest

Aug 10 Went to Swansea & back same day

Aug 28 Finished harvest

Sep 16 Went for a day round some of my old neighbours (Cardiston side)
