Nov 3 At Rejoicings at Loton Park young Sir Baldwin Leightons coming of age

Nov 5 at the Ball at Loton Park

March 27 attended Funeral of an old relative (Mr John Poole) at Llandissilio

April 23 attended Funeral of an old Mrs Poole at the Pentre

May 15 Sold Wheat at 6/11 per Bushel

June 22 began Hay Harvest

July 7 At Elesmere Club and at a dance at Mr T Thomas’ (Colemere) next night

July 14 Went to Rhyde getting ???? ??????? to see an Uncle

Aug 2 began Grain Harvest

Aug 25 Finished Grain Harvest

Dec 1 Went with my Uncle Minshall to London, the next day to his House at Great Wigsell

Dec 6 Drove to Hastings & St Lennards

Feb 18 Mr Robert Poole (Uncle) died at Llyntidman

Feb 23 At Funeral and Llanymynech

Mar 16 Mr George Eyeley at Cardiston a week painting my Mothers Portrait

Mar 18 Sold Wheat at 5/9 per Bushel

April 30 Joined the Shropshire Cavalry

May 11 Went to Salop for 8 days training in Cavalry

June 22 Began Hay Harvest

June 27 Went to the old Paginit (sp?) Show held at Kingsland (called Shrewsbury Show)

July 8 At Aberystwyth (Uncle Parrys, Glanpaitty went from there to the Devils Bridge

July 16 Signed Agreement to take Cardiston Park Farm for myself from next Lady Day. Same time my Mother & John took Bicton Grange Farm to enter in Spring.

July 26 Cutting Beans, also Oats
