Feb 12 Engaged to Margaret Vaughan at Prescott

Apr 23 My cousin Thomas Poole (Liverpool) came to Cardiston to Act for me on 24th

Apr 24 I married Margaret Vaughan at Baschurch Church. 7 Poole Grooms men.

Went to London. Stayed at Mr Raggets sp? 9 Paulton Square. Friend of my wifes

May 1 Came home to Cardiston & began married life for ourselves

May 8 Drove my wife to Chilton to see Jeffrey

May 11 Went both to Baschurch Church

May 19 in Shrewsbury at Cavalry work

May 29 Margaret & I went to Ruyton 11 Towns to Miss Vaughan’s Wedding (Married Da Davies)

June 20 began Hay Harvest

July 12 Went to Llanfyllin (?) to Vote for C Wyman Election for County Member

Aug 18 Began Grain Harvesy

Sep 26 Finished Harvest

Dec 20 Sold Barley at 5/5 per B

Mar 27 Elected Way warden for Cardiston Parish

Apr 3 Good Friday, Christened the Baby.

May 6 At the Cavalry training

May 30 Wool 1/8 per lb

June 24 began Hay Harvest

June 26 At a very Swell Dinner at the Raven given by the Atlas Insurance Co I had insured my life in it but went out the next year, from good reasons. Into the Provincial Office

July 2 Began Hay Harvest

July 22 Began Grain harvest

July 29 Began Grain Harvest

Dec 8 my wife ill with Inflamation of Liver

Mother took Baby to the Grange for a time

Dec 30 Took my wife to Prescott to see Father & Sister for a change.
