June 10 A swarm of Bees came here we hived them (Housekeeper said it was lucky)

June 24 Went to Baschurch Club & to Mr David Vaughans of Prescott

June 28 Began Hay Harvest Wool 1/3 ½ per lb

Aug 8 Finished Hay Harvest

Aug 8 A Party of us went for a picnic on the Brieden Hill to Rodneys Pillar. 9 of us

Aug 13 Began Grain Harvest

Aug 31 Finished Harvest a very fine Grain one

Sep 9 Went with John Crane to Dublin

Sep 10 Went over Prince Alberts model farm at Glasnevin

Sep 11 To Bray, Dargle Falls, Powescourt

Sep 12 Zoological Gardens. Phenix Park

Nov 15 Self, John & Jeffrey went to look over Chilton Farm to take it for Jeffrey to start farming at

Nov 17 Jeffrey, as coming from Church upset Aunt Farmer & old Mrs Griffins out of the trap. Was looking too much at Miss Crane just before him.

Nov 29 Went to Chilton sale to help Jeff to buy things he wanted for the Farm

Dec 12 Attended funeral of Mr Richard Poole Evans of Coppice Farm, at Llandrinio. Died of cancer

This year my Mother & other Creditors of the late Moon Croft & Hayward Solicitor of his land?, heard of some shares in a slate mine having been smuggled or turned over to a relative when Hayward was made Bankrupt some years ago the Creditors forced the son (Hayward) to pay what made up the 20/- in the pound & interest. My mother had nearly 130..o..o

Had a very heavy crop of sweed & turnips this year. Hay crop nearly all spoiled
